SafelyYou is a mission-driven company that raised $60m in 2021 through series A and series B financing and is now rapidly scaling. Our company spun out of the UC Berkeley AI Research Lab and develops artificial intelligence to support care for those with Alzheimer’s disease, Dementia, and other cognitive impairments. Alzheimer’s disease is the single most expensive disease in the US, costing an estimated $600b per year in direct and indirect costs. It affects 1 in 3 people over 85, 1 in 9 people over 65, and accounts for 1 in 5 Medicare dollars. Our first product is focused on reducing the frequency and impact of falls, the leading cause of hospitalization for those living with dementia. We have peer-reviewed results showing up to 80% fewer falls with an average of 40% fewer falls and 80% fewer ER visits from falls. We've raised capital from top VC firms, including Founders Fund, Eclipse, Foundation Capital, and Data Collective, and the largest providers in the space are actively using, expanding, and evangelizing the service. We have also been awarded grants from the National Institutes of Health and the National Science Foundation, given the national importance of the issue. As the population continues to age, the global costs of Alzheimer’s and Dementia are expected to double over the next 10 years. With fewer and fewer young people available to provide the care needed, we must find a way for technology to bridge the gap.
Your Role at SafelyYou
As a Technical Recruiter at SafelyYou, you will be a critical member of the People Experience team, driving the growth of our organization by recruiting top-tier technical talent in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You’ll play a key role in elevating our recruiting department, introducing creative approaches, and ensuring our hiring process supports the company’s ambitious goals.
Responsibilities:- Partner with hiring managers and the Senior Director of People Experience to design and execute recruitment strategies specifically tailored to Engineering and Product roles.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, focusing on technical and product roles, with flexibility to assist with non-technical hiring as needed.
- Proactively source, attract, and hire high-quality candidates at scale, while maintaining a positive and seamless candidate experience.
- Show expertise in recruiting for Engineering, AI and Product teams, including roles such as software engineers, product managers, and technical leads.
- Show proven experience recruiting in the U.S. and Canada, with additional global hiring experience as a strong plus.
- Revamp the recruiting function by introducing new tools, techniques, and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Participate in and coordinate recruiting events such as hackathons and job fairs to attract diverse, high-caliber talent.
- Maintain accurate data in applicant tracking systems and provide regular hiring metrics and updates to stakeholders.
- Train interviewers on best practices to ensure a consistent and professional candidate experience.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven track record of success in recruiting technical talent in high-growth, fast-paced environments.
- Experience recruiting in the U.S. and Canada, with international hiring experience a strong plus.
- Background in non-technical recruitment is a plus.
- Passionate about creating exceptional candidate experiences and fostering an inclusive hiring process.
- Creative problem-solver with a proactive approach to recruiting challenges.
- Experience in organizing or participating in hackathons and job fairs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with candidates and internal teams.
